March 2018 Favorites & Empties

I’m a little sad, but happy that March is over. Sad of course that time is going by so quickly, but happy that I’ve got some travels coming up! I don’t have too many favorites and empties for March so let’s jump straight in.

Purito Fermented Complex 94 Boosting Essence Review

Spring is here and the weather is warming up again! When the new season rolls along it always makes me do a reset and refresh in all aspects of my life. Out with the old and in with the new! So, today I wanted to talk about a new skin care brand called PURITO. They very kindly sent over some products for me to try out so it’ll be a three-part review. (Be sure to scroll down to the bottom for a special discount offer!) First up is the Fermented Complex 94 Boosting Essence, but before I jump right in I'll share a brief company background.

Whamisa Organic Flowers Foaming Gel Review

I’m not too much of an all-natural, organic beauty product user since past experience with them has not been great. Enter Whamisa. I always heard about Whamisa, but I was never tempted to try the brand so I didn’t know too much about them. (They’re all about using fermented, organic ingredients and many of their products are vegan or vegetarian friendly.) When I was shopping at Creemare in Gangnam they gifted me Whamisa’s Organic Flowers Foaming Gel as part of their promotion. So, today I’m going to review this cleanser and see how it measures up to my HG Su:m 37 Rose Stick Cleanser.

Best Selling Pimple Patches Reviews + Comparisons

The pimple gods still like to throw a few spots at me from time to time so ever since I discovered pimple patches, I’ve been obsessed with finding good ones.  There are few to no options here at home so when I was in Korea I picked up all the patches I came across to test them out. I tried them bare faced and under makeup to see which ones performed best. Keep on reading to see how it all went down!

Sulwhasoo Hydro-Aid Moisturizing Soothing Cream Review

When it comes to moisturizers, I always look for something that is lightweight, non-greasy, deeply hydrating, and absorbs quickly. I can only think of one moisturizer that I used in all my years of skincare that met that criteria, and that is Missha’s Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Cream. But, when I was at the Sulwhasoo Spa I was introduced to something that I fell in love with instantly. Sulwhasoo’s Hydro-Aid Moisturizing Soothing Cream, welcome to the skincare family!

Heimish Brick Brown Dailism Eye Palette Review

Remember when all the warm toned eye shadow palettes started coming out last fall? Urban Decay’s Naked Heat and Tarte’s Toasted were huge hits and the trend is continuing! So, Heimish came out with their own version, which is called the Brick Brown Dailism Eye Palette.

Troiareuke ACSEN U.V Protector Essence Review

Spring is coming, guys! As much as I appreciate the coziness that winter brings, I love warm weather and am so excited for it! There was a warm weather spell last month that put everyone in shorts and t-shirts.  This meant my Mediheal sunscreen was too heavy, so I searched my stash of sunscreens and picked out the Troiareuke ACSEN U.V Protector Essence to try.

February 2018 Favorites + Empties

It has been really cold in the bay the past few weeks so I've been spending lots of time cuddled up on the couch with the doggies.  I guess it's winter trying to get in as much cold as possible before spring hops in. Since we’re in March already it’s time to recap February’s favorites and empties!

3CE Mood Recipe Blush and Lipstick Review

I’m all about nude makeup so when 3CE launched their Mood Recipe collection I literally went ga-ga and made sure it was one of the first things I picked up in Korea. I didn’t pick up every single product from the collection since I have some similar items at home so I got three lipsticks and three blushes. Let’s get into the mood!

Jayjun Anti-Dust Whitening Mask Review

I haven’t done a full review for a sheet mask in a while! I wish I had a less superficial reason for why I wanted to try this Jayjun mask, but I’ll admit I only bought it because the packaging was so pretty. Kevin had a layover at Incheon International so he dutifully brought home this box of sheet masks as well as several other items. Hehe. So here today is this gorgeously designed Jayjun Anti-Dust Whitening Mask!

Tarte Shape Tape Hydrating Foundation Review

Tarte blew many of us away with their Shape Tape concealer so when word got out they were releasing not one, but two Shape Tape Foundation formulas, people went nuts (good and bad). Out of the two formulas, I picked the Hydrating Foundation to try since anything matte scares me now.

Miche Bloomin No. 6 Girly Flair Lashes -Hooded Eyes | Review

Finding the right false lashes has been a journey. When I first started getting interested in them, I turned to the popular brands- Ardell, Velour, House of Lashes, Eylure, etc. While some worked out better than others, I never found the one. I have large hooded eyes with small creases so falsies can easily look bad. If you suffer the same troubles, I’ve got two words for you. Asian lashes. I’ve been on the hunt since discovering Aritaum lashes and I’ll be sharing the ones I love.  So, today I wanted to introduce you to my new love: the Miche Bloomin Lashes No. 6 Girly Flair.

Troiareuke ACSEN Pore Control Mask Review

Clay masks are every oily skinned, acne-prone, large pored, person’s best friend.  My best friend! They’re a must have to suck out all the excess sebum, clean out your pores, and calm acne/pimples. I’ve been loyal to my Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay Mask for many years, but it’s time to try something new! When I was shopping for Troiareuke products in Korea I picked up the ACSEN Pore Control Mask to try it out. Troiareuke products are quite pricey, but what I’ve tried (like the cleanser or cushion) was worth it so lets see if this mask makes the cut!

Mediheal Labocare Pantenoide Sun Essence Review | Dry Skin

When I was in Korea I was obsessed with buying sunscreens. I was looking for two types: (1) A moisturizing, essence formula for cold, dry weather; (2) A light, watery type for warmer weather. All of them had to have a moisturizing element, be lightweight, non-greasy, have 4 +’s, have an SPF higher than 40, and don’t leave a white cast. Basically, I was looking for a moisturizer-like sunscreen. One of the sunscreens that met my requirements is the Mediheal Labocare Pantenoide Sun Essence SPF 50+ PA++++.
