Christmas Gift Ideas 2016
19 more days until Christmas! Are you ready?! If not and you're scrambling for some ideas, then check out what I've gathered below and hopefully it'll help your holiday shopping. These gifts are all appropriate for him and her! Before I dive into this- if my dear family is reading this STOP RIGHT THERE! Don't look any further!! Ok, let's continue shall we? I have some college aged family members and I picked my brain what to get the girls. Clothes? Tech accessories? What could be the safest, most useful present? A pretty journal! *Cough*Not just because I project my love of stationary on others... *Cough* College is the time to explore and find yourself so a journal to help with that journey would be perfect! Not the journaling type? Use it as a notebook! Personally, I love keeping journals as it's my way of self reflection and expressing creativity. Along with a journal, I'm also giving a little bag of stocking stuffers to complete each of the girls' gifts! I found these notebooks at HomeGoods for under $10 each.
This next one is for the board game fanatic. :) My husband and I love a good board game and so does our family. This year we decided to gift Forbidden Island, Saboteur, and One Night Werewolf. I haven't played Forbidden Island, but Saboteur and One Night Werewolf are quick and easy games that are super fun! If you're looking for a 2 player game, the hubs and I highly recommend 7 Wonders Duel! This was a groomsmen gift my husband received from our best friend. :) I ordered all of these except 7 Wonders off of Target during Black Friday so we got an extra discount! Forbidden Island and Saboteur were around $10 each after tax and One Night Werewolf was about $13 after tax.
Ok so we're going to get a little bit more luxurious here. There is a certain somebody who I know loves everything tech and is also the hardest person to shop for. With so many different gadgets in the market, compatibility is the last thing you want to worry about so this might just be the perfect thing. I heard tech YouTuber, Marques Brownlee, raving about Jaybird's X3 wireless headphones. His review convinced me that these were the best gift for my tech loving ... person. :) I was lucky enough to order these online from Best Buy with a discount so they came out to be $110 after tax. They are currently sold out and normally sell for $130.
Looking for a gift for Mom? Or an aunt? Or maybe just someone who likes to keep things simple? This mini ID card holder from Coach comes with 2 credit card slots and a zipper portion for any cash and coins. This sells for $45 in a variety of colors available in store or online.
No Christmas is complete without warm, cozy slippers! Keeping your feet warm is so important during the winter especially if you don't have carpet in your home! Here are some that will please the man or woman in your life. These slippers form Deer Stag have a sturdy sole so they can be worn indoors our out and have a faux fur lining to keep your feet cozy. I found these online at Nordstrom during Black Friday for around $17 . They are currently selling for $22, which is still a good deal! I'm gifting 2 pairs this year and the people receiving them don't like to be overly warm and furry when it's cold so these are perfect. If you're like me and love all things soft, furry, plush, and warm then you'll love these UGG slippers. Or perhaps these! (I haven't received the Moraene ones yet so I wasn't able to photograph them :( ) These were also purchased during Black Friday. The Cluggette was $64 and the Moraene was $56, and they are now selling for $80 and $70, respectively.
I hope this was helpful to you during this holiday season and may you all have a Merry Christmas! Good luck braving the crowds at the shops!
