Too Faced’s Sweet Peach Collection Review
This spring is going to be all about peaches! So much pomp and circumstance has surrounded Too Faced’s re-launch of their Sweet Peach Collection. I never owned the original, but after some good convincing by a fellow makeup lover friend, I decided to jump on the bandwagon. I picked up the Too Faced Sweet Peach Eye shadow Collection Palette , the Too Faced Sweet Peach Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss- Papa Don’t Peach , and the Too Faced Sweet Peach Papa Don’t Peach Blush.
With the holidays just ending I was feeling the pinch and really didn’t want to spend any money, but Too Faced got to me! I triple checked every single eye shadow palette I owned just to make sure I didn’t have anything similar to the Sweet Peach palette. After receiving it in the mail, I sure am glad that I bought this. There are varying shades of peach/coral, purples, and browns that I absolutely love. Performance wise, the only shades I didn’t like were Bless Her Heart, Tempting, Summer Yum, and Talk Derby To Me. These shadows felt drier, less pigmented, and my brush had a harder time picking the color up. Aside from those few that performed under par, the rest of the shades are wonderful! The colors are beautiful, flattering, and easy to wear. Contrary to what many are saying, this palette does not smell like peaches. I think a candy scent is more accurate.
If you normally skip lip gloss because of how sticky they feel, then you might want to try the Creamy Peach Oil Lip Gloss. I ordered it out of plain curiosity and was pleasantly surprised by how comfortable it was. The shade Papa Don’t Peach is ideal for your no –makeup- makeup days and pairs perfectly with the eyeshadow palette. It feels extremely light, smooth, and moisturizing with zero stickiness.
So I love love love blush and could not resist trying the Papa Don’t Peach blush. When I first used this, my initial reaction was to find another blush to warm it up. It looked frostier than what I wanted, but I left it alone and it looked fine in the end. This shade is heavier on the gold shimmer and lighter on the peach pigment. It can emphasize pores and texture if over applied. If you don’t like to wear blush or prefer a very light dusting then this would be perfect. Just like the Papa Don’t Peach Lip Gloss, this blush also works extremely well with the eyeshadow palette and really pulls the Sweet Peach look together.
Overall, I think the eyeshadow palette and lip gloss are the clear winners. These definitely deserve a try if you have an opportunity to swatch them or if you just want to treat yourself. This collection will take you through spring and summer beautifully. :)
