The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer Review

The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer Review

Late night online shopping is my guilty pleasure. When I’m in one of those moods Amazon becomes my best chum. This is where I found The Saem’s Cover Perfection Tip Concealer.  I’ve heard about it here and there so when I saw it being sold for less than $6 AND it was Prime, I decided to try it out.

What It Is

The Saem Cover Perfection Tip Concealer has a hydrating formula that contains SPF 28 PA ++ protection. It has Soft Focus Powder to give natural looking coverage and finish.  It’s supposed to cover pores, blemishes, freckles, and dark circles. It is available in 3 shades: Clear Beige, Natural Beige, and Rich Beige.

Results

First off, this concealer will only work for light to medium skin tones, which is a real bummer because it’s actually pretty good. It reminds me of the Nars Creamy Concealer, but better! It feels thinner, smoother, and creamier.  In real life the color appears darker on the skin than in the bottle so be aware of that before you purchase. I got the shade 1.5 Natural Beige, and it’s a bit darker than I thought (see photos below). I swatched Tarte Shape Tape (Light Sand) and Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer (Light Warm) for shade and texture reference.  It’s not a perfect match for my skin tone, but I can easily lighten it up with my other concealers so it’s not really a problem.

This concealer blends like a dream, covers up my pores, conceals the redness, covers up really red pimples, and has a natural finish.  If you have oily skin you’ll need to set this so it doesn’t cake up. I wore this on a really hot day and it lasted 5-6 hours, which is pretty good since I was sweating. I'm quite confident it would wear longer in cooler conditions. Overall, you get a nice smoothing effect at an excellent price point. If I’m lazy to use foundation I’ll just use this concealer all over since it’s so easy to blend out. You can use your fingers, a brush, or sponge and you’ll get the same smoothing effect! Bonus points for the SPF even though I already use sunscreen in my daily routine. P/S: I did not break out or get rashes from this!

Conclusion

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this concealer compared to the high end ones that I have.  It did an excellent job concealing my problem areas and it’s so inexpensive! Although the shade selection is very limited, I still like the formula enough to continue using it alone or even mixed with a foundation.  If you have light to medium skin you should definitely try this out!
