August 2017 Favorites
I wanted to share this post on Friday, but I ended up coming down with shingles so I was out of commission since Thursday. Lucky me, I got it on the left side of my face so I have those blisters all over the top left quadrant of my face and scalp. It's merciless and even got to my eye. The pain and the swelling.... oh man the pain. Going through this taught me two things: 1. I need to take better care of myself and 2. That includes all aspects- emotionally, psychologically, physically. Anyway, thanks to lots of pill popping, I feel better today to work on this so here it is.
Yaaahhhh!!! Fall is almost here!!! Target and HomeGoods are already carrying pumpkins and Fall décor!!! Anyway, since August just passed, I have my favorite things to share. P/S: I'll link below each item where you can purchase.
COSRX Blackhead Power Liquid: I needed something a tiny bit stronger than my trusty Klairs Vitamin C Drops because of all the excess sebum so I turned to this COSRX BHA product. I’ve been using this like a toner and it has been pretty darn amazing. Dispense on a cotton pad and wipe, and you’ll see whatever leftover dirt/oil/filaments come off. This stuff breaks all the gunk down and melts it so your pores are nice and cleaned out! I used to use Paula’s Choice BHA, but it was too harsh on my skin so I’m glad that this one by COSRX is gentle enough for daily use.
Missha Time Revolution Night Repair Ampoule: I had a post about this one when I first started blogging on Tumblr and I decided to repurchase this because I forgot if I really liked it or not. It looks like they had changed the formula since I first tried it several years ago, so I’m glad I’m trying it again. This ampoule really packs a punch! It’s a bit thicker and stickier, but I’m liking what it has been doing for my skin. It’s super moisturizing and hydrating so I don’t need any additional products after using this.
Belif Moisturizing Eye Bomb: I don’t want to jinx it, but I think this might be the eye cream for me! Review will be out 9/6 so come back to check it out.
The Balm Shadow/Luminizer in Kuwakaribisha: This came in my IPSY glambag and I was surprised by how beautiful it was. I’ve been using it as a highlighter and it is so freaking pretty. It’s a smooth, luminous, light gold shade that isn’t too over the top, but isn’t too subtle either. I want to buy this in a full size, but it only comes as part of a palette. :(
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Opal: This isn’t new, but I’ve been using this and the Balm’s highlighter obsessively. This one gives me the subtler glow and I love how smooth it looks and applies.
KDrama: One More Happy Ending- This show follows the lives of an ex-KPop girl group post stardom. It’s a cute story that is totally relatable and has equal bits of teary moments and LOL’s. You can watch this here.
Song: Palette (Feat. G-Dragon) by IU- I got this on repeat! Listen!
