December 2017 Empties
Another month, another batch of empties! During 2017 I remember setting a goal for myself to use up my skin care stash and finish at least 1 eyeshadow palette. I succeeded the first, but totally failed the second! Anyone in a similar position? I’ll have to try harder this year! The last products I used up for 2017:
Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream (review)
I can’t say I loved this, but it was a decent hydrating option when the weather turned dry. If you read my review, my opinion was to use this as spot treatment, but I think the Wishtrend TECA Cream is better in this case.
Missha Time Revolution The First Treatment Essence Intensive Moist (review)
This is definitely not my choice of essence, but I found myself enjoying it more when I used it in a mist bottle. Maybe that method led me to use more, which is maybe what I needed to do? Either way, I still will not be repurchasing.
Skin Inc Pure Deep Sea Hydrating Mask
I remember falling in love with this leave-on mask when I first tried it, but now I’m not sure if it compares to the other sleeping packs I’ve used. I even bought myself the full size shortly after using this, but I haven’t cracked it open yet. It was expensive too…
Pyunkangyul Essence Toner (review)
Is it an essence? Is it a toner? I used this as a toner, but its texture was really like a serum. I still prefer my Klairs Supple Preparation Toner!
L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise Waterproof
This has been my go-to/must-have mascara for pretty much all of 2017. It gives volume, length, and holds your curl without making your lashes stiff. My only gripe about this mascara is that it gets clumpy around the 2- 3-month mark (which I guess is when you should change out mascara anyway) and starts to smudge. Aside from that this mascara is amazing!
Bonvivant Illuminator Age Cover Mask Pack Diamond
Remember I had the Gold version of this mask? Yeah, I did not like it and it left me looking like I applied highlighter all over my face. This Diamond version felt so much better. It was lighter, hydrating, and did not leave me glittering all over. Even though it’s better than the Gold one, I still would not recommend these sheet masks. There are plenty of other ones out there that perform way better.
Tony Moly Green Tea Watery Mask Sheet
Chok chok skin for me! This sheet mask from Tony Moly performed way better than expected. It was super comfortable, light, soothing, gentle, and gave me perfectly moisturized skin. Not too heavy and not sticky! The essence in this sheet mask sank right into the skin and absorbed very well.
Nature Republic Sheet Masks- Aloe, Rose, Royal Jelly
I got a ton of these sheet masks during my trip to Korea since they were offering a pack of 60 for less than $20. They’re not exactly my favorite, but they do the job. I’ll do a proper review later.
Care Zone A-Cure Clarifying Spot Patch
As part of my experiment to see if all pimple patches are the same, this is one of the types I got in Korea. The trend seems to be going towards very thin, nearly invisible patches to make them less visible when worn on the skin. More on that later! These did the job!
