I haven’t done a full review for a sheet mask in a while! I wish I had a less superficial reason for why I wanted to try this Jayjun mask, but I’ll admit I only bought it because the packaging was so pretty. Kevin had a layover at Incheon International so he dutifully brought home this box of sheet masks along with several other items. Hehe. So here today is this gorgeously designed Jayjun Anti-Dust Whitening Mask!

What It Is

This is a 3-step brightening mask combination including ampule and eye cream. The Anti-Dust Luminous Mask perks up tired looking skin (due to fine dust), soothes, and brightens the skin with Niacinamide. The second step is the Anti-Dust Luster Ampule, which is supposedly a sleeping pack, brightens the skin by lightening melanin and making the skin smooth and shiny. The last step is the Anti-Dust Eyes Under Corrector, which brightens and fights wrinkles. Each box comes with 10 sheet mask packs for $35.45.

No significantly harmful ingredients in any of the above. Alcohol Denat can be irritating, but I didn’t experience any issues. Niacinamide stars in all three products and is great for aging skin. It can improve the appearance of enlarged pores, fine lines, and improves skin barrier. There are also plenty of amazing plant extracts such as Forsythia Suspensa Fruit Extract or Platycodon Grandiflorum Root Extract, which function as antioxidants.

First off Jayjun is extremely generous in the amount of product that each step contains. The sheet mask had plenty of extra essence to use on my face for another 3 routines, the ampule lasted an extra 2, and the eye cream lasted me a whole week! All the products have the same fragrance, which smells slightly floral. I wish it was unscented, but at least it didn’t irritate my skin.

This sheet mask claims to brighten and whiten, but I didn’t notice any significant changes in my skin tone after using a few of these masks. It was definitely hydrating, soothing, and calmed my redness. However, I did not like how sticky my skin was post mask. Hair was constantly sticking to my face unless I tied it up out of the way. Going to bed was also quite uncomfortable- every time I turned, my pillowcase would peel off my face as I rolled the other direction. Cringe!

I realized the best way to use this and avoid any discomfort was to mask in the daytime. If you’re having a chill day at home then it’s the perfect opportunity to pamper yourself. In the photos below, I was masking while cleaning the house. :) My skin was super red and irritated, but you can see this mask helped to soothe and calm my skin.

Out of all the products that come with this mask, I enjoyed the eye cream the most. It provided the perfect amount of hydration that lasted all day without feeling too heavy and oily. The texture was also so enjoyable- like whipped cream! I don’t suffer from dark circles, but there was a noticeable brightening effect with this cream. The pictures below were taken after using ampule and eye cream.

As much as I want to say that this mask is amazing, I can’t. My biggest issue is with the sticky residue that stays behind until it’s washed off. If you don’t mind feeling sticky then maybe this will work for you! Otherwise, I would skip out on this mask.
