Purito Fermented Complex 94 Boosting Essence Review

Spring is here and the weather is warming up again! When the new season rolls along it always makes me do a reset and refresh in all aspects of my life. Out with the old and in with the new! So, today I wanted to talk about a new skin care brand called PURITO. They very kindly sent over some products for me to try out so it’ll be a three-part review. (Be sure to scroll down to the bottom for a special discount offer!) First up is the Fermented Complex 94 Boosting Essence, but before I jump right in I'll share a brief company background.

“PURITO makes safe and honest cosmetic products which are safe to use from children to adults”

PURITO is a Korean skin care company whose philosophy is all about “safe and honest” ingredients. I put those in quotations because they emphasize that over and over. All of their products use ingredients that are “EWG green level rated,” which just means they’re very safe.  (EWG is an American environmental organization that fights to protect human and environmental health.) They focus on using natural ingredients so you won't find many chemicals in their products. Sensitive skin friends, you will love this! An entire range of products we can use made with us in mind!

What It Is

Purito Fermented Complex 94 Boosting Essence Review_DSC_4412-2.jpg

The Fermented Complex 94 Boosting Essence is designed to deliver moisture deep under the skin, improve the condition of stressed skin, and enhance the absorption and effectiveness of proceeding skin care. It also functions to whiten the skin and fight wrinkles. PURITO recommends this for those with anti-aging, blemish, and pigmentation concerns. This comes in 5.07 fl.oz plastic bottle and is on sale for $14.23.

Ingredient Analysis

Butylene Glycol, Lactobacillus/Rice Ferment, Camellia Sinesis Leaf Extract, Taraxacum Platycarpum Extract, Morus Alba Bark Extract, Niacinamide, 1,2-Hexanediol, Bifida Ferment Lysate, Acrylates/C10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Allantoin, Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Leaf Extract, Arginine, Caprylyl Glycol, Nelumbo Nucifera Flower Extract, Portulaca Oleracea Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Adenosine, perilla ocymoides Seed Extract, Glycern, Saccharomyces/Viscum Album (mistletoe) Ferment Extract, Saccharomyces/Imperata Cylindrica Root Ferment Extract, Lactobacillus/Soybean Ferment Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Disodium EDTA

Fermented goodies include yeast, rice, beans, mistletoe, and imperata clyindrica root. Out of the 24 ingredients only 5 are chemical and the rest are all natural. I’m impressed!  We’ve got the dream team Niacinamide and Adenosine, which fights wrinkles, brightens, and whitens! Allantoin, mistle toe leaf extract, and licorice root extract are all anti-inflammatories. Perilla seed extract fights free radicals to reduce signs of aging.

Honestly, I didn’t know about EWG until now, but I like how the ingredients are tagged with EWG levels so you don't have to do extra research. Just to be safe I also ran the list through COSDNA and the results were consistent!

Results

I wasn’t sure what to expect from this essence, but it surprised me! First off, I love how it’s fragrance free. Its hydration capabilities closely rivals my beloved Su:m 37 Secret Essence, just not as silky. This has a thin, watery formula with a little slip, which makes the skin feel really moist. As you pat in into the skin it feels slightly velvety and dries down with a tiny bit of tackiness. You can really feel it on your hands after application! If you have dehydrated skin, you’ll understand when I say this essence feels like a drink of water. It is more hydrating than Missha’s Intensive Moist Essence and SK-II’s FTE. The directions tell you to layer it 4 times, but I found that 2 was more than enough for me.

My only con (which isn't really bad) is that you might not see results immediately. For me, I felt the change in my skin before I saw it. My skin condition was sort of on the fence before I started using this, but it helped to normalize it and bring the bounce back. When they say the moisture penetrates deep under the skin, they really mean it! I’ll share before and after pictures at the end of this three part review so stay tuned.
