PURITO Centella Green Level Recovery Cream Review
It’s time for the final of my three-part review for PURITO. Let’s jump straight in to discuss the Centella Green Level Recovery Cream.
What It Is
The Centella Green Level Recovery Cream is also part of PURITO’s Centella collection. This cream boasts 50% Centella Asiatica to soothe and protect damaged skin. It has whitening and anti-wrinkle ingredients approved by the KFDA. It comes packaged in a 1.7 fl.Oz squeezable tube and is selling for $13.39.
Centella Asiatica Extract (50%), Water, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Squalane, Glycerin, Cetearyl Alcohol, Niacinamide (2%), Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil, Butylene Glycol, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter Extract, 1,2-Hexanediol, Tribehenin, Stearic Acid, Behenic Acid, Argania Spinosa Kernel Oil, Tromethamine, Spent Grain Wax, Carbomer, Caprylyl Glycol, Tremella Fuciformis (Mushroom) Extract, Sodium Hyaluronate, Perilla Ocymoides Seed Extract, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Extract, Betaine, Beta-Glucan, Citrus Aurantium Bergamia (Bergamot) Fruit Oil, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Carbomer, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Cholesterol, Adenosine, Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil, Asiaticoside, Asiatic Acid, Phytosphingosine, Ceramide, Madecassic Acid, Tocopherol (Vitamin E)
Similar to the Buffet Serum, this cream has the same key cica ingredients and more. We’ve got some ultra moisturizing components thanks to squalene, shea butter, mushroom extract, ceramide, macadamia seed, and argan oil! The addition of witch hazel helps with pores. No harmful ingredients were found and all are ranked EWG green level.
Despite the name, the Recovery Cream is more like a lotion. For me, it’s lightweight, provides all-day moisture, relieves dryness immediately, and just melts into the skin so beautifully. Like the Buffet Serum, this has a natural herbal scent, which I’m growing quite fond of! Unfortunately, it doesn’t resolve pigmentation issues, but it is calming. The formula is so soft that I don’t feel a distinct layer after application and my dry-combination skin feels more balanced.
On the other hand, Kevin has really dry skin and he thought this was not hydrating enough. He felt the cream only moisturized the surface level of his skin and didn’t deeply hydrate so he still felt dry.
If I compare it to Klair’s Midnight Blue Calming Cream, PURITO’s isn’t as hydrating, but its ingredients are ranked better.
This recovery cream worked well enough for me to give it a 4 out of 5, but because it didn’t solve Kevin’s dry skin, I think others with similar skin will have the same problem.
After using the essence, serum, and cream for several weeks, my skin feels stronger and healthier. Overall, my skin tone has become more even and bright, the lines around my mouth and forehead are less pronounced, and I have less redness. The most significant change I saw was in the pores on my nose. They tightened up so I see fewer blackheads! These products produce the best results when used together so I wouldn't advise separating or using them sporadically. Use them together and use them consistently!
My au naturel before and after pics over the span of 3 weeks + a few days:
Collectively, PURITO is a good brand with products worth trying. My skin reacted well with what I used so I will definitely be trying more of their products.
★★★½ Out of 5
Pros: Works well with Buffet Serum, calming
Cons: Not for dry skin, not for pigmentation
