COSRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask Review
Yikes, I was clearing out my vanity and realized that I never reviewed my COSRX honey mask! I’ve finished it off and wanted to leave my two cents before throwing out the container.
What It Is
The COSRX Ultimate Moisturizing Honey Overnight Mask is a gel type mask designed to soothe, nourish, and moisturize skin. It can be used overnight, washed off, or as a moisturizer. I have the old version of the mask, but they’ve changed the packaging to a squeeze tube so you’ll get 60ml for $16.
Propolis Extract, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Betaine, 1,2-Hexanediol, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Arginine, Cassia Obtusifolia Seed Extract, Dimethicone, Ethylhexylglycerin, Carbomer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Beeswax, Allantoin, Panthenol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Adenosine
This mask is made with more than 87% Propolis Extract, which helps to balance, heal, and soothe troubled skins. It works as an anti-inflammatory agent, clears out pores, and protects against bacteria. No harmful ingredients found.
I’ll start out with the pros. This mask is super hydrating, soothing, and fragrance free. When my skin was having an ‘episode’ (bumps, rashes, etc.) I would use this because it gave my skin the hydration it desperately needed without being irritating.
My only con is it is sticky! I really dislike going to bed with a sticky face… I mean who does? Imagine your pillowcase sticking to your face as you change sleeping positions or constantly having hair stuck to your face. Ugh. P/S: I didn’t use it as a wash off mask because it seemed like a waste of product. And as a moisturizer? No can do!
As much as I love COSRX, I don’t think this mask is a must-have since there are so many similar versions out on the market. Its moisturizing abilities are excellent, but the sticky factor is a big turn off for me.
