Innisfree Real Squeeze Green Tea Mask Review
When it’s hot out I don’t like heavy duty moisturizing sheet masks so I thought this would be the perfect time to use my Innisfree Real Squeeze Green Tea Sheet Masks. They're light and comfortable to wear in this summer heat, and they hydrate and soothe parched skin. I’ve tried a few of their Real Squeeze sheet masks in the past, which included rose, ginseng, and aloe. They’re affordable, decent quality, and great for daily use.
What It Is
The Innisfree Real Squeeze Green Tea Sheet Mask is made from biodegradable eucalyptus fibers and soaked in Jeju Green Tea extract to soothe and hydrate the skin. You can purchase these masks individually for less than $2!
WATER, GLYCERIN, DIPROPYLENE GLYCOL, CAMELLIA SINENSIS LEAF EXTRACT, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, BETAINE, XANTHAN GUM, CENTELLA ASIATICA EXTRACT, PAEONIA SUFFRUTICOSA ROOT EXTRACT, 1,2-HEXANEDIOL, CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA (MATRICARIA) FLOWER EXTRACT, PEG-60 HYDROGENATED CASTOR OIL, GLYCERYL CAPRYLATE, ETHYLHEXYLGLYCERIN, DIPOTASSIUM GLYCYRRHIZATE, DISODIUM EDTA, FRAGRANCE, ALOE BARBADENSIS LEAF JUICE, SODIUM HYALURONATE, CITRUS UNSHIU PEEL EXTRACT, OPUNTIA COCCINELLIFERA FRUIT EXTRACT, ORCHID EXTRACT, CAMELLIA JAPONICA LEAF EXTRACT
This mask has some pretty decent good-for-your-skin ingredients! Camellia Sinesis Leaf Extract, otherwise known as green tea, is a powerful antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-aging ingredient. It’s at the top of the list so we can actually reap the benefits! Centella Asiatica and Aloe help soothe and hydrate irritated, sensitive skin. Overall, no harmful ingredients were found.
In the realm of sheet masks, these fall under the category of your basic, every day type of masks. They’re for soothing, moisturizing, relaxing, and not problem solving or treatment purposes. With that expectation in mind, this sheet mask is great! The mask itself is very thin and light, which is comfortable to wear, but don’t expect a great fit. It comes drenched in essence so there is plenty left over to use for a few skin care routines. This one has added fragrance, which is not my favorite, but it didn’t irritate me. On the topic of fragrance, each one of these masks that I’ve opened has a slight plastic smell to it. Is it just me? Did I get a bad batch or is this normal?
Aside from that, this sheet mask does soothe and calm my skin. The hydration it provides is just right for the summer heat! My one gripe is how it feels on the skin once it’s absorbed. It feels like there’s something there, but it’s not oily and not exactly sticky. The closest feeling I can match it to is the feeling of a dry oil without the slick. It’s not that bad, but I like to be as dry as possible when it's hot. At less than $2 a sheet mask, I can’t really complain since it works well to calm and hydrate my skin.
If you’re looking for a no-frills, affordable, every day sheet mask then these are for you! Even though this review was specifically for the Green Tea mask, the entire Real Squeeze range is worth trying. There are 18 varieties to choose from so you can have fun exploring the benefits of each one!
