The weather is getting colder and drier, friends! Are you updating your skin care routine as needed? I’m so happy to be able to reintroduce this golden, glass-skin, friend into my routine, and share it with you! I am a fan of Missha’s Super Aqua Cell Renew Snail Cream, and when I found out there was a lighter version available I had to try it right away. (Skin care obsessed friends understand when you just buy products on a whim even though you can’t/don’t use them right away.) This was before summer started so I’ve had this moisturizer for quite a while. I delayed writing this review because I felt it was more appropriate to share during the fall so let’s go!Read More
Hey father time, can you give me a break here? It’s already September so it’s time to recap my favorites and empties for August!Read More
Holy moly! I was on the road today for a quick drive and was surprised with a sea of cars, parents, and kids. SCHOOL IS BACK IN SESSION! And just like that, summer is over. Which also means the holidays are literally four months away!!! Excitement is brewing over here. Ok, that’s not the point of this post. The point is I want to talk about Troiareuke’s ACSEN Selemix Serum. Yes, another Troiareuke ACSEN product... at this rate I think I'm just 2 products away from trying the whole ACSEN line. Anyway, this serum claims to help with acne scars so it was the first thing I bought when I visited their shop! Troiareuke isn't the most affordable so let's answer the question everyone wants to know. Is it worth it and does it work?Read More
Although we’re still rolling in summer heat, fall is right around the corner and cooler, drier weather is coming! My skin goes through bouts of sensitivity and irritation so I’m always keeping an eye out for a good moisturizer that can repair and revive it. Something like the Klairs Midnight Blue Calming Cream, know what I mean? Earlier in the year, I was having one of those episodes and needed a new moisturizer so SKINRx’s MadeCera Cream seemed to fit the bill.Read More
July is over and was a crazy busy month for me! We're so close to being done with our home remodeling and I cannot wait until it's complete! I've had to put this blog and my social media posts on the back-burner, but I'll be back posting regularly soon. If you've been through home renovations then you know how tough they can be! In the mean time, it's time to share what I loved and emptied in July!Read More
If you know me or frequent my blog, then you’ll know that I always say my number one cleanser is the rose stick cleanser from SU:M 37. Since they’ve discontinued it, I’ve been on the hunt for a new cleanser that works just as well. I won’t say that I found a replacement, but the Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser is pretty darn good.Read More
In a blink of an eye, spring left and summer is officially in full swing! Unfortunately, June was filled with more empties than favorites. I’ve been preoccupied with home remodeling so I haven’t had the time to explore new products. Here’s what I loved and emptied in June:Read More
If you’ve been following me long enough then you’ll recognize Nature Republic’s Aloe Vera Soothing Gel. It’s my favorite thing to use in combination with my beloved Klair’s Vitamin C Drops. I never got around to giving it a proper review, but better late than never! I picked up the Cactus Soothing Gel during my last Korea trip so I figured this would be a good opportunity to review both and do a comparison between the two.Read More
When it’s hot out I don’t like heavy duty moisturizing sheet masks so I thought this would be the perfect time to use my Innisfree Real Squeeze Green Tea Sheet Masks. They're light and comfortable to wear in this summer heat, and they hydrate and soothe parched skin. I’ve tried a few of their Real Squeeze sheet masks in the past, which included rose, ginseng, and aloe. They’re affordable, decent quality, and great for daily use.
Dry, cracked heels and feet are a nuisance. They ruin your bed sheets, can be embarrassing, and are just so uncomfortable! Kevin and I have dry feet, but his are like pumice stones. When you can feel a hardened layer of skin under your foot, you know it’s time to exfoliate. If you like to use a Ped Egg or something similar, please stop. Instead, use a foot peeling mask! I picked up these Smile Foot Peeling Masks at my local Face Shop and they are life changing!
I never thought I’d say this, but I think I have too many products. I spent some time going through what I have and what I wanted to review (pretty much everything) and felt so behind. I should’ve reviewed some of these things last year! Anyway, several months ago I reviewed Jayjun’s Anti-Dust Whitening Mask and now I’m finally getting to its gorgeous twin, the Anti-Dust Therapy Mask.Read More
I’m embarrassed to say that I still get bacne/back acne/body acne from time to time. I don’t treat the skin on my body as well as the skin on my face, which I’ve realized is a mistake. Since warm weather is coming around soon, I want to make sure my body is spot free so I can wear my summer clothes with confidence. I picked up the Klairs Manuka Honey & Choco Body Soap when I was shopping in A-Land in hopes that it would be an easy way to get rid of bacne. Let’s see if this bacne wash works!Read More
Hello, hello! As you can tell from the title, I’m writing about my experience treating acne scars in a natural, laser-free way. I’ve wanted to have acne scar revision treatments for as long as I can remember, but after countless hours of research on different treatment options and several failed consultations, I was forced to look for an alternative. (I was advised not to pursue laser treatments because I was considered high risk for adverse reactions.) I needed a less invasive way to heal my scars or at least improve the look of them. I have been seeing an acupuncturist on a regular basis since October 2017. My appointments were originally aimed at just health maintenance, but once I knew lasers weren’t an option for me I turned to acupuncture treatments for my acne scars. Keep on reading for my experience, and before and after photos!Read More
Yikes, I was clearing out my vanity and realized that I never reviewed my COSRX honey mask! I’ve finished it off and wanted to leave my two cents before throwing out the container.Read More
Hydrating mists have always seemed a bit gimmicky to me. If you’ve been keeping up with beauty news then you might’ve heard them saying mists actually dry out your skin. I tried misting while on a long haul flight to Asia many years back and I remember feeling extra parched at the end of it. Well, this time around I discovered a great mist and an even better way to use them. Say hello to Sulwhasoo’s Hydro-Aid Moisturizing Soothing Mist! This mist is part of the Hydro-Aid collection, which is used to address hydration concerns (review of the Moisturizing Soothing Cream is here).
April was an exciting month since I traveled to Bali for the first time ever and there was the Sephora sale (aka more new products)! That’s another post in itself, but now it’s another month of favorites and empties.
